Senior Citizen Services

(APPROVED) DEPARTMENT HEAD BANNERS (36)

Mission

The mission of Plainfield Senior Citizens Service Program is to provide social services in a multipurpose senior center to the senior population that resides in Plainfield. The purpose of this Plainfield agency is to provide elderly, frail, and at-risk senior residents with opportunities and services, which enhance their self-sufficiency and their general quality of life.

Our program services are designed to reduce dependency and to eliminate premature institutionalization. The Senior Citizens program consists of comprehensive recreational, educational, social, culturally specific programs, medical screening, transportation services, and nutrition program support for the homebound.

Watch us on PCTV Comcast 96 / Verizon 34. Our Seniors participate in a number of activities including singing, dancing, modeling and plays which help them to stay young at heart.
