Plainfield Wins Vaccine Lottery

According to the CDC, the COVID-19 vaccine significantly reduces the risk of individuals spreading the virus and prevents individuals from experiencing severe symptoms in the likelihood that they do get infected from COVID-19. In an effort to ensure the safety of our community the City of Plainfield hosted a vaccine lottery from July to December 2021 to incentivize residents to get the COVID-19 vaccine.  Residents who got vaccinated through the City of Plainfield, Union County, the Neighborhood Health Center, Plainfield CVS Pharmacy, Scott Drugs, or Rapp’s Pharmacy with any approved vaccine had the chance to win $5,000.  Every month,  four (4) lucky residents, two (2) who obtained the first dose of the vaccine and two (2) who received the second dose, were drawn and notified to receive their prize.
