The Department of Finance is responsible for money management which typically includes the purchasing of all goods and services for the City; the collection of tax revenues; and administration of property assessments for the City. The Finance Department also facilitates budgeting, planning, organizing, auditing, accounting and control of the City’s operating and capital requirements.
